On Sundays, I’ve been writing about one simple action you can take to end Trump. With 30 days left, it’s not complicated: vote. D.C. mailed ballots to all registered voters this week. I received mine in the mail on Friday. Your state may be doing the same, or may have opened early voting sites already. Vote.org will tell you the details that matter where you live.

Some local races might take a minute to research if you aren’t familiar with them. The nice thing about mail-in voting is that everyone has a chance to research these races. Being surprised and overwhelmed at the polling place is no longer an excuse for an uninformed vote. Wherever you live, there are sure to be progressive organizations, or neighbors and friends who are involved in local social justice movements and know the records and reputations of candidates in these down ballot races. In D.C., I look to sites like Greater Greater Washington and Jews United for Justice for insight and endorsements. Both support Robert White and Ed Lazere for the at large council seats. I filled my ballot out tonight and I’ll drop it off at a D.C. ballot drop box tomorrow.

The most important thing is to vote. Return your ballot early and use the rest of the 30 days we have to make sure everyone else does the same. You can browse my previous Sundays for suggestions. Or just start with Vote Save America.
